Role Purpose
As a Valve Sales Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of our mission to deliver exceptional valve solutions to customers throughout South Australia. You’ll be the driving force behind our growth, forging strong connections and igniting excitement about our products and services to new and existing customers alike.
You will ensure our customers feel empowered, reassured and inspired when they engage with our valves. They will experience confidence knowing they are partnering with a trusted industry leader committed to excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities

- Dive deep into customer needs, anticipating and exceeding expectations at every turn
- Build enduring relationships with existing clients while blazing a trail to new opportunities
- Hit the ground running with structured customer call cycles and strategic visit plans
- Collaborate seamlessly with our engineering team to ensure flawless project valve execution
- Keep meticulous records of interactions and sales progress
- Stay ahead of industry trends
- Highlight achievements with regular, high-energy sales status reports
About You:
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- Australian work rights
- A passion for sales and a solid grasp of valve technology or related industries
- Intermediate knowledge of valve technology and related systems
- A track record of exceeding sales targets and delighting customers
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience
- The drive to take ownership and make a real impact at John Valves
- Outstanding communication skills
- A collaborative spirit and willingness to roll up your sleeves
- Impeccable organisation and time management skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related software
- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
- Availability for regular customer travel throughout South Australia
