Rising Stem, Metal Seated

Figure Nos. 203 (straight) and 203A (angle) cast steel globe valves. They are designed for service at higher pressures and temperatures. The designs shown on this page are suitable for steam services of 1700 kPa at a temperature of 427°C.

Globe valves should be installed with the stem in a vertical position, ensuring the flow arrow on the valve body indicates the correct direction. The handwheel should be at the top for easy operation and to prevent debris accumulation.
