Machinist or CNC Programmer​ (VIC)

We are seeking an experienced trade qualified Machinists or CNC Programmer.  Experience with a state of the art CNC lathe (Okuma LC20) highly desirable.  Full training given if not.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values and culture – in addition to this you will have:

  • A high level of machining experience, knowledge within the Valves or associated industry (pumping industry, pneumatics, hydraulics)
  • Demonstrate a solid awareness of OH&S practices
  • A commitment to working to a high standard
  • Be motivated and punctual person
  • Required to work in a team environment
  • The ability to work unsupervised
  • The desire to constantly improve and work towards a trade
  • Preferred that you have a forklift licence
  • Working with CNC heavy machinery from set up to operation to produce parts from metal 
  • Preparing programs for parts in accordance with relevant mechanical specifications and machine input requirements
  • Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the required product by reading mechanical drawings and instructions
  • Ensure machine is cleaned and maintained
  • Ensure workplace is clean and clear for effective and safe production
  • Ensure a positive work environment for your contribution, output and team
  • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equiv.
  • Control speed, material feed and path of operation to ensure quality product
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Preferred CNC Programming Experience
  • Attention to detail
