About the Role

The Senior Valve Consultant – Water Industry, is a career with John Valves that will offer a high-achieving professional an opportunity to make significant difference and influence in the water authority industry. John Valves provides planning and technical consulting services to the water industry to ensure a health future for the environment, industry and communities.

The successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values and culture – in addition to this you will have the ability to:

  • Expand market awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively
  • Knowledge and experience in the Water Authority industry
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements – speaking to customers understand, anticipate and meet their needs
  • Analyse options and undertake concept design to ensure sustainable and practical approaches to the use of Valves in the management of water
  • Support our customers to meet regulatory requirements
  • Work with the Sales / Production and engineering teams to ensure customer project requirements are met
  • Prepare clear and succinct plans, strategies and reports
  • Maintain and expand upon current John Valve product knowledge
  • Submit sales status reports as required
  • Submit quarterly customer visit plans; schedule customer meetings and action plans for follow-up as required

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business management, or extensive experience in Technical/Mechanical background
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong presentation skills and professional appearance
  • Attention to detail and work ethic
  • Hybrid workplace model i.e. working from home when not our servicing customers.
  • Driver’s Licence required.

You will be working both individually and as part of sales/project teams. As a senior member of our team, it is expected you will be managing projects, as well as delivering high quality technical work within the water industry. We are offering full-time work with flexible hours.

You will bring demonstrated success and enthusiasm in providing exceptional sales service and support to customers and our staff equally.

You will have the drive and hunger to promote and develop John Valves business to consistently meet your sales targets.
